...the evolution of the violin...

"I have to alter my approach when playing this instrument because it naturally has a different sound at its' core. My personal view is that this sound is more pure, being the sound of barely unfiltered vibration. It is the sound of that wonderful discovery of electricity and it is being produced by an instrument that has been labelled 'electric-violin'. This is a name capable of arousing strong emotion in people because the word 'violin' suggests, to most, a particular sound - one which isn't anywhere to be found when playing with electricity as the core! The word 'electric' also suggests, to some, that the instrument does something for you i.e. that less skill is required ... so far removed from what I have found to be the case.

My methods are my own based on only what I think to be the most reasonable and sensible approach to such a new and massive topic. Things have changed and I also know that the change is with us all forever. Change is a release.

What if a note, amplified to a point where one's core shook apart was sounded? What if I were to tell you that a type of magic takes place? Not a ceremony or a bubbling pot of liquid and a spell book plus pointy hat, just sound like you've heard before but never from any musical instrument.
